Remember what brings you alive
Find a comfortable place to sit with something to write with.
Take a few slow breaths and allow yourself to arrive.
Today isn’t about making sense of your life. It’s simply about remembering.
Begin making a list of moments — past or present — that have brought you a quiet sense of joy, wonder, or aliveness.
Not the biggest moments. The small ones.
The sun coming through the trees in a particular way.
The first cool morning after a long summer.
A song that melts your heart every time you hear it.
A child laughing.
A dog doing something wonderfully ridiculous.
The smell of rain.
Fresh flowers.
Bare feet in the grass.
Losing yourself in a good book.
Making something with your hands.
A place you’ve always loved returning to.
Perhaps memories from childhood begin to surface too.
What made you lose track of time?
What did you love before anyone asked whether you were good at it — or whether it was useful?
Keep writing until you begin noticing something.
A pattern. A feeling. A thread connecting the things that have quietly made you feel most alive.
You don’t need to do anything with what you discover today.
Simply notice that it’s there.
For now, that’s enough.
