Let yourself linger
Choose something small that you know you enjoy.
A song you love.
The warmth of the sun.
A favorite drink.
Stepping outside into the morning air.
Making something with your hands.
Sitting beside someone you love.
Nothing extraordinary. Just something that feels good to you.
Give yourself a few minutes to be with it.
And while you’re there, notice not only what you’re enjoying — but yourself experiencing it.
What happens in your body?
Does your breath change?
Do you soften somewhere?
Is there warmth? Energy? Expansion? Ease?
Maybe a smile arrives without you thinking about it.
Maybe you simply notice that you want to stay.
So stay for another moment. Simply to let yourself be there long enough to feel it.
We spend so much time learning how to stay with what is difficult.
This is a practice in staying with what feels good.
Let yourself linger.
That’s enough.
